Joe Cole is ready to snub Arsenal and Tottenham for a move to Liverpool.
Cole is a free agent after leaving Chelsea earlier this summer but has yet to commit his future to any club despite the start of the new season quickly approaching.
But it is understood that the England international is ready to put pen to paper on a money-spinning deal at Anfield.
The News of the World reports that Cole has been offered a lucrative £90,000-per-week three-year deal by Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson, who hopes the capture of Cole will go some way towards persuading Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres to stay.
Cole’s preference is to move to a Champions League club – which Arsenal and Tottenham would offer him – but the prospect of becoming a senior player at Anfield could persuade the former West Ham forward to settle for Europa League football.
Hodgson wants Cole to make his decision by the end of the week.
