THE Digicel Premier League (DPL) season was officially launched today at the office of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and it is promising to be more exciting and intriguing by the sponsors.

Digicel Jamaica Chief Executive Officer Mark Linehan, said the company is proud to continue its three year sponsorship of the competition which he said has become a “fantastic showcase of community football in Jamaica”.

The 12-team league is set to kick off on Sunday with defending champions Harbour View hosting Humble Lions at the Compound.

Benfica of St Ann will be making their debut in the top flight while former three-time champions Reno has made a return after relegation following the 2008/09 season.
