The Premier League is in full swing and fans across the country will have firm opinions on the best and worst performers so far this season.
Courtesy of the EA Sports Player Performance Index, Sportsmail can reveal exactly which players have performed the best during the first two months of the current campaign.
As expected, it is Chelsea – currently top of the Premier League with six wins from their opening seven fixtures – who hold the top three positions in the Player Performance Index rankings. Read more…

Could Shaqueel van Persie follow in his father's footsteps?
Robin van Persie has revealed that Arsenal’s renowned focus on youth recently manifested itself in the club inviting his five-year-old son to join their youth training ranks.
Shaqueel, also a keen golfer, currently plays for a team near to the Van Persie family home and his father recognises that “he has got a lot of talent for football” . Read more…

There are few true fairytales left in the modern game, especially at the top end. Yet Ryo Miyaichi’s rise from high school football in Japan to Arsenal’s first-team is one fit for any Hollywood script, writes Jamie Sanderson of the Young Guns blog.
The 18-year-old was recently granted a UK work permit, thanks in part to testimonials from Arsène Wenger and the Japanese Football Federation.
